NOTE:

In 2024, the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God, falls on Monday, January 1. In keeping with the Saturday-Monday rule, it is not observed as a Holyday of Obligation. It remains a Solemnity and should be celebrated as such in our parishes; the faithful are encouraged to attend.

In 2024, observance of the Ascension of Our Lord, Thursday, May 9, is transferred to Sunday, May 12, 2024.

In 2024, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is transferred to Monday, December 9, and the obligation to attend Mass is abrogated. It remains a Solemnity and should be celebrated as such in our parishes; the faithful are encouraged to attend.

This will begin a period of inquiry and education about the Catholic faith, its basic beliefs and the meaning of the Sacraments. Confirmed Catholics are welcome to join to enrich their understanding of the faith. Classes will be modified to accommodate each person's faith journey.

Confirmation is usually performed by the Bishop around the time of Pentecost, but can be done at other times in certain cases. This is the spiritual journey to a shared life with your Catholic Community and your relationship with God.
